ah, I love birds!

draw a swallow next, and if you do well enough, maybe you can design my tattoo

that's sweet :) will you draw me [link] ?
yes, because that is a sick looking bird and it has a name that makes me chuckle.

incidentally, is it just me or is "the nuthatch is a plump bird about the size of a great tit that resembles a small woodpecker" about the funniest naturalist quote on birds ever?

i have so many tattoo design requests on my plate right now and i have no idea why. i'm pretty nervous about fucking up designs or doing something the person thinks is good but i know isn't and having it wind up permanently on their body, a lifetime display of work i don't consider up to standards.

but i'm pretty hard on myself. usually.

i ordered a moleskine sketchbook a couple weeks ago and it still hasn't come in.

I mean, from a viewer standpoint, I can see why the requests roll in, you're art's bombass. As far as my personal bit right here, I just typed what I was thinking without...well thinking about it. I do have a desire for a swallow tattoo, and i guess just seeing this made me all 'sweet I wonder what his rendition of a swallow would look like and would it be something I could use?' but that's about it. I'm ranting and raving when I should probably just be saying, good job guy, keep it up.
